I have read almost all of the FAQs, and seen all of their videos, the most recurrent thing is the deep gathering ressources/crafting system.
World PVP to take someone’s inventory, to take his ressources. Farming ressources for the guild or EK, crafting for your gear. Defending quarries, mines, POIs as they call it because they are big amount of ressources to take the lead from another faction in order to build things.
I mean, everything is about the ressource/crafting system. Which is not a bad thing, the whole point of my post is about balancing it a little bit for us fighters. I can go crafter but this is not my truly desired path.
Not really, what do you secure ? What do you take ? Taking what from other guilds/factions ? POIs, mostly ressources point for crafter. Again, I know that it requires fights, which I said that I’ll enjoy. But the purpose of these fights is for the crafters that will enjoy the big crafting system. As a fighter, you’ll just have to fight then you wait ? I mean, what do you do (as a fighter) when you log in ? You just walk until you find someone to kill ? If so, this is sad.
You seem to be coming from an solo perspective and so you are not entirely wrong. Playing this game solo without the backing of guild crafters and harvesters will be difficult if not impossible. Even guilds will struggle if they do not prioritize this. As a lot of people keep reminding me, we still have yet to see PoI’s like mines, quarries, and forests, and the blue print system, so until I can test these myself I can’t make up my mind for sure but from what I have seen I am a little concerned.
Dude you make no sense. The reason you fight is A)Fun and B)Payment. The point that when you defend a POI all stuff go to the crafters dont make sense, they are using it to make stuff for you too (Payment). It is a circle. You fight to defend your stuff (or steal) so that you can fight better. Like i said it is all about the PvP, raiding your enemies castles or taking over a enemy POI.
Try to read it again and again, I made it clear enough. In few words, fighting is good for me but if I go full “combat” in the passive tree, I will not be able to enjoy the crafting system, for ever. Like, if someday I want to do something out of the crating system I will not be able to do so since I’ll need to take “crafting” or “exploration” and by doing so I will lose a considerable amount of time waiting for this skill to rise up while I could have maintain my previous “combat” skills to master it.
You didn’t answer. What do you do, as a fighter, when you log in ? You kill people trying to steal ressources out of them like, 5 hours straight ? And then what do you do with those ressources since you’ll not be able to craft things properly (so, you will not enjoy the insane crafting system) ? Find some crafter to use it. My point is, we should be able to at least make some things and crafters to specialize in things, doing it 200 times better than you.
So when you log in as a figher all you do is fighting people..? But then you miss everything in the map. Gathering things, trying to get purples while you are picking a golden rock, trying to make corpses. Trying to domesticate animals and stuff.
Well I do have to disagree with this. Without fighters everyone else is pointless. The crafting is to supply the fighting and the fighting is to supply the crafting. It’s a system that needs both to work properly. Something about feedback loops and systems theory. It’s complicated and I obviously didn’t pay much attention in that class.
True, but you will not be optimized. Maybe you will find the right balance but on the paper, it is better to master one thing right ? I thought about it, as a crafter you will not be optimized and as a fighter either. My point on the original post was about that, it is a big sacrifice to do so in my opinion.
